Annual General Meetings in Ontario Emergency Measures 2020
With the Covid 19 pandemic, on April 1, 2020, an announcement of the Provincial Emergency Measures Act allows businesses and non-profit extra time to meet their Governance obligations of Annual General Meetings (AGM). This allows holding an AGM 90 days after the Emergency measures are lifted. Until that time, permission is extended to allow online and telephone meetings so members can participate, but not necessary to attend in person.
In the Lennox and Addington Historical Society’s June newsletter will ask our members who would like to participate in a virtual AGM meeting.
